The Basics: Easy Marijuana Butter

norcal420life: Chico, California, United States; How to make marijuana butter... You'll need 1 bag of shake of fresh leaf (roughly 1/2 pound - 1 pound), Large cooking/stock pot (a 4 to 5 gallon), and 4 pounds butter or margarine 9 (or coconut oil if you're vegan), and cheesecloth for straining ********** 1: Put your 4 pounds of butter/margarine into your cooking pot. 2: Put in your bag of shake or wet leaf into the pot. 3: Set your stove element to a medium heat, leaving a slight crack open on the lid for steam to escape. Once the mixture comes to a boil, turn the heat down to a super low simmer for at least 5 hours. (when you are completely done, the leaf/shake will be crispy and very dry) 4: Check your level of butter while this is happening, you may have to add more. Stir with a wooden spoon occasionally. 5: When finshed, and the butter is a dark green/black color, take off the stove and let cool for awhile, but not long enough for it to harden up (about 10 minutes or so). Strain through nylon or a cheesecloth into a container, careful not to let any leaf or stem excape into the butter, although the tny little specks of broken leaf, almost like silt, are OK. Easy!!!
